Re: Is Remote Judging Futuristic ?

the following idea is not mine, but worth making public for consideration:
Imagine:
Being judged not by 7, 9, 11 judges but by a two dozen, even many more.
Being judged by the World top adjudicators, even perhaps by Hilton, Woods while dancing in a local competition
Paying lower entry fees
No more need to panic, scramble to take that extra lesson from a judge who keeps beating you down, or, in an attempt to 'buy' a favour.
Unable to find who the judges are before the competition.championship
Dancers not feeling the need to avoid certain competition in a perceived belief and fear of not being judged fairly.
How ?
Get an agreement, consent from approved/competent judges from around the World that they would participate, be available.
Input names / contacts in 'Central' computer.
Before competitions (via computer) contact a specific number of judges- selected in random order to obtain their commitment to judge a specific event(s).
The participating judges would be informed by computer and advised how many are needed for the event. ( extra few judges could be used to avoid problem, if by accident, or for any other reason , one or more judges were unable to pass along the mark, or follow the event )
Judges would log on Internet - Live broadcast - and from their personal monitors would observe the dancers competing, judge , make comparisons, using hand held device feed the marks directly to the central computer for organizer's use.
Marks would be processed, reports printed out, trophies given out, judges would receive pay directly to their bank accounts.
What would be needed ?
2, or more ? cameras ( web cam ) positioned next to the dance floor showing the dance floor - close up and an overall picture.
Live connection to Internet
Hand-held devices available to the judges to input their marks
Screens / Monitors for judges to see the dancing to be able to judge/mark and report instantly their decisions to central computer for processing
Central computer ( to accept and process data , broadcast life comp
( the participating judges may even see an advantage and would invest in these gadgets themselves )
Th advantages ?
Take all the moneys saved by not having to pay judges' transport, accommodation, expenses and divide it among the organizers - to possibly lower competitors entry fee, even spectators tickets, amongst the participating judges.
Consider the convenience for judges to adjudicate from their living rooms, even dressed in pyjamas
Judges rested and not suffering of jet-leg, comfortable, not having to stand all day long.
Judges receiving a much larger financial reward ( MUCH LARGER ) for their works.
( If they should not send the marks, they would get paid just for marks sent and received, if enough judges are used it would not matter if one or two judges missed a round taking a 'health break ' )
All judges would have an equal chance to participate, since they would be randomly selected by computer.( if some judges were in a greater demand, their names could be put in the computer more than once to increase P they would be picked more often )
The judges able to judge dancers from same angle resulting in more accurate assessment .
Competitors would no longer be troubled by suggestion of Unfair, Biased, preferential judging or favoritism.
Competitors would be getting a more accurate feedback about their progress.
I am not a wizard nor expert about the new technology. In fact I know very little...but there are experts who know, or, at least those who know someone who knows...and it would be great if someone could expand on this, or pass the idea onto someone who can, just as I am passing onto you my friend's idea.
The general consensus is that dancesport has a problem, and the often mentioned problem is the perceived lack of fairness in judging.
Would a Remote Judging solve the problem ? Is the idea worth considering ? Or , is it just too futuristic ?
